Welcome to the NCC newsletter – keeping you up to date with the latest events and promotions from the North East’s leading climbing centre on a monthly basis. Throughout July and August we will be running a great range of events, competitions and courses and we welcome everyone to our Fun Climbing Day on Saturday 20th August. For those keen to try outdoor climbing we are also running a series of climbing days with our qualified instructors on the great outdoor crags of Northumberland. NEW ROUTES | |
| On 1st July The North East’s very own world class boulderer, Micky Page joins the route setting team for a complete reset of the bouldering zone before he goes on his adventures again.

EVENTS Disability Awareness Course-Thurs 28th July In collaboration with the BMC and the MLTA we are pleased to host a training course for those who wish to support disabled people into rock climbing. For further details and applications follow this link Rockworks Boulder Comp- Fri 29th July A one off, fun bouldering competition for all and some excellent prizes from sponsor Rockworks Climbing. The competition runs from 6.00pm until 9pm. | |
 | Summer Fun Climbing Day – Sat 20th Aug Come along to our Summer Fun Day at the centre and climb for £5.00 All registered members can bring along 2 guests to climb and their entry is FREE yes FREE, so bring along those keen friends and family to have a go. Free Adult and Family Taster Sessions will be run throughout the day. Spaces are limited so book early through NCC reception on 0191 26560. Summer Climbing Competition Our popular open comp is back. Open to all and running from 25th July to the 2nd September. Pay £1.00 for your score card and take on 10 routes on the main walls. All entries will go into a prize draw for a 2 month climbing pass. CLIMBING COURSES Summer Family Pass £60 - from July 25th till 2nd Sept (that’s the whole summer holidays) Struggling for activities to do with the family this summer? - no need when you can buy our Family Members Pass for the summer holidays. This entitles 2 adult members to sign in two under 18’s as their guests (must be a family) to climb unlimited between the above dates – hurry passes are limited. *you must be a registered member of the centre and part of a family* Family Taster Sessions – for a limited time only £40.00 (up to 4 people) If you’ve never climbed before this is your ideal opportunity to have a 1 hour Taster Session with a qualified instructor – all equipment included. Afterwards you can climb on our bouldering wall for as long as you like. | |
