Returning Spring 2017

Newcastle Climbing Centre are introducing generations of young people to rock climbing through their kids clubs and coaching academy at the two centres. We are aware that many of these young climbers and their families would like to climb outdoors particularly now summer is approaching. We have designed a series of weekend days out climbing at a number of top venues in Northumberland.

Cost £50 per person. This includes – transport from NCC, instruction & equipment

THE PACKAGE

Your package will include a full day’s outdoor climbing, instruction & equipment hire and transport with pick-up / drop-off from Newcastle Climbing Centre.

TOPICS COVERED

Route Selection, Equipment use, Knots, Rope Systems, Climbing Calls, Climbing Techniques.

OUR STAFF

We take safety very seriously, our experienced staff team all hold the Single Pitch Award (S.P.A). Our staff to client ratio is 1:7 and our operating procedures have been approved by AALA (our ref. R1233). This all makes for a great outdoor climbing experience.

Include Northumberland, Yorkshire & the Lake District

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

We supply all equipment. If you require rock shoes and a chalk bag please let us know in advance. You do however need to bring plenty of warm clothing and a showerproof outer layer. It can be quite cold and windy at the crag - even in the summer months!

TRANSPORT

We use 16 seater minibuses for these courses and we aim to depart from NCC at 9am and return to NCC around 5pm.
