BBC Dropzone
The BBC is aiming to inspire thousands of individuals and families across the UK to experience adventure activity and new physical challenges. Newcastle Climbing Centre has been invited to join their Thrillseeker Database which will be launched on Sunday 31st January on Countryfile, BBC One.

This is our second YOGA program aimed at beginners, focusing on climbers. Starting Thursday 14th January 2010

The BMC Leading Ladder is back for the 2009/10, sticking with the successful format from last year. Taking part in this fun competition series is an excellent way to improve your climbing standards and a great way to get fit - and stay fit - over the winter months.
26/01/2010 - Red Chili Rock Shoe Demo
Newcastle Climbing Centre are pleased to host a Red Chili rock shoe demo evening. Come down, try out the new Matador and Urban Climber rock shoes for the evening and enter a prize draw to win the pair of your choice!
24/01/2010 - British Junior Climbing Team Training
GB Junior Climbing Team descended on the Centre on Sunday 24th Jan for a training day, over 40 young people and their families made full use of the centre's facilities from coffee and cake to the more serious aspect of training, with our steep walls and roof routes taking a hammering!
22/01/2010 - CASSIN & CAMP Bouldering Series - 2nd Round
Newcastle Climbing Centre are pleased to host Round 2 of the Cassin & Camp Bouldering series - on Fri 22nd Jan from 5pm till 9.30pm, remember your best 2 scores count so come on down.
17/01/2010 - Steve McClure Master Class
There will be 3 master classes each lasting 1.5 hrs with max of 4 people per class. All participants must be registered Newcastle Climbing Centre members with the ability to lead 4+.

14/01/2010 - Meet Gateshead Thunder team at NCC
The Gateshead Thunder Rugby First Team squad are descending on the centre Thursday 14th Jan 2010. They will be receiving expert coaching and insrtuction from the centre's Instructors.
05/12/2009 - Dave Birkett Lecture
We are pleased to announce the first event in a winter series of lectures and film at the Newcastle Climbing Centre with a talk by one of the UKs leading rock climbers. Lakes based climber Dave Birkett will be well known to many with the award winning film “Set in Stone” and also his recent repeats of hard routes in Northumberland including “Crisis Zone” at the Wanneys.
10/10/2009 - OutsideIN Event
Thanks to all who turned up for the centre’s first event OutsideIN. There was plenty going on from the Lord & Lady Mayor of Newcastle giving prizes in the morning, Steve McClure and Neil Gresham doing Master Classes in the afternoon and not forgetting the Bouldering comp and the fun Auto Belay relay. The day was rounded off with lectures by McClure and Gresham (We had sweaty hands from just watching the film clips).
The event was sponsored by La Sportiva, Climb Magazine and Rockworks Climbing shop – all were very generous with prizes, I think everyone came away with something.
05/10/2009 - Yoga For Climbers
Our resident Yoga instructor, Carolyn Horrocks offers a 10 week program for beginners, focusing on climbers.
