Outcrop climbing involves visiting moorland crags and attempting single pitch routes of up to 50’ in height. These one day courses are designed for those who may have started their climbing career on an indoor wall and want to progress to the outdoors. We will visit Northumberland’s classic sandstone outcrops and break the day up by having lunch. Participants will have the opportunity to climb, on a top rope, a number of routes of a grade suitable to their ability. | |
![]() | Who is this course for? This course is aimed at climbers who are over 18 and wish to experience and learn the skills required to climb outdoors. The minimum requirement is that clients can safely operate a belay plate and can confidently climb at French technical grade 4. Instructor / client ratio The ratio on these courses is 1:6. All staff have a minimum of the SPA (Single Pitch Supervisor's Award) and the senior member of staff will be a Mountain Instructor. Minimum of 4 people per course. |
