CUSTOMERS CLIMB THE BRANDLER HASSE ROUTE (7a+) IN ITALIAN DOLOMITES

Jul 29, 2010

All the leading & top rope training at our centre has paid off for regular customers Mick Gardener & Steve Roberts completing the route in 26 hours.

The guys set off on the route Wed 28th July staring the first pitch at 6am, making the most of the chilly perfect weather conditions. They topped out at 8pm the same day making the wise call to stay the night in a bivy cave on the south side at 3,800 metres with two cereal bars and not much water.

6am next morning Mick & Steve starting the long abseil back down the normal route on mountain.

I received a text from the guys at 9.30am saying “Back down safely the descent was as harrowing as the ascent; you must be superhuman to get up & down a day. Looking forward for shower, sleep & a beer”

Check out the below link regarding the route and Italian Dolomites, if you want a real scary experience check out Alex Huber soloing the same route the guys lead... link
