We are looking for individuals passionate about climbing to join our team as an Apprentice Indoor Climbing Instructor.
The Apprenticeship will combine practical training in a job role with one of the centres experienced instructors on hand as a mentor.
You will also be working towards completing national governing body, climbing qualifications. You will also be gaining experience in the climbing centre, working with a wide range of customers and age groups.
As an apprentice you will :
· Receive paid employment with holiday pay.
· Work alongside experienced staff
· Gain a variety of job-specific skills
· Have time for training related to your role.
The Newcastle Climbing Centre will provide training & assessment in the following:
• Climbing Wall Instructor (CWI) award .
• BMC FUNdamentals coaching courses level 1 & 2.
• First Aid training and certification.
• NICAS Induction course to the scheme.
• safeguarding course.
Candidates must be :
A minimum 17+years of age
Passionate about climbing
Have an interest in sports coaching
Willing to learn on the job
Flexible in working a weekly rota.
