Who can climb at Newcastle Climbing Centre
Newcastle Climbing Centre welcomes everyone whether you are a novice who wants to gain experience and develop skills or someone looking to push your limits. We provide an environment that caters for all abilities to offer the best indoor climbing experience.
Holiday Kids Clubs
Looking for exciting activities for the kids during the School Break? Our Kids Climbing Clubs are an ideal way for them to develop new skills, meet new friends and burn off excess energy!
Our holiday climbing sessions for kids are £11 per session and open to children aged 5 years and up.
These sessions are an hour long and delivered by one of our qualified instructors. We run these every day of the week. It is advisable to book your space in advance due to popularity.
No Climbing Experience?
We offer a range of introductory courses from a one hour, “taster” session to a complete indoor climbing course where you will learn the ropes and all you need to safely make the best use of the climbing walls.
All courses are with a qualified instructor and all equipment will be provided. (You may also learn to climb under the supervision of an experienced friend who is already a registered climber).
Skip the queue and register online
Everyone who climbs at Newcastle Climbing Centre must first be registered by completing our participation agreement – this is to ensure you understand our rules as well as the risks associated with indoor climbing.
All under 18s must also have a consent form signed by a parent/guardian before climbing – this is part of the registration process.
Young climbers
Children aged 5 and upwards may climb at the Centre under the supervision of a registered adult climber.
If you are aged between 5 and 14 years you may join our Kids Rock Climbing Club under the supervision of our qualified staff. (Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult).
We also offer Taster sessions for Juniors under 16 years of age. If you are between 14 and 17 years old you may climb unsupervised at the Centre with parental consent* and after passing an assessment.
*Parental consent forms are part of our simple online registration process.
**Newcastle Climbing Centre reserves the right to refuse entry to any individual or groups.

Why not try something new and exciting for your Birthday Party this year?
Having your party here at Newcastle Climbing Centre could not be easier! We cater for groups of 6 to 12 kids, aged 5 and above. You will receive one & half hours of expert Instruction with the emphasis on safety and fun.
