We’ve teamed up with Tyneside Cinema & Berghaus. The film from Alastair Lee is an epic to end all mountain epics set in the stunning mountains of Queen Maud Land, Antarctica.

Outdoor Climbing Days

Newcastle Climbing Centre is introducing generations of young people to rock climbing through their kids clubs and coaching academy at the two centres. We are aware that many of these young climbers and their families would like to climb outdoors particularly now summer is approaching. We have designed a series of weekend days out climbing at a number of top venues in Northumberland.

Distilled - 21st Nov at Tyneside Cinema

We’ve teamed up with Tyneside Cinema once again to bring you the North East premier of Distilled a celebration of Scottish winter climbing and a poignant profile of a life spent in the mountains.

Andy Cave first climbed in Scotland as a teenager. This was the start of a lifelong journey for Andy, which took him from the depths of a Yorkshire coal mine to the peaks of the Himalayas. As the story unfolds we see dramatic footage of Andy climbing some of Scotland's classic and most challenging winter routes in the full spectrum of conditions that Scotland's mountains can conjure.
