Parent Belay Course

This course is designed for Parents and Carers who want to use the centre with their young ones, at the end of the course you should have the skills and knowledge to demonstrate safe belaying and supervise your guests, including under 18’s.

The course is 2 x 1 hour sessions

After your health and safety induction of the centre you will learn to:

• Belay safely & correctly.
• Hold falls and lower the climber
• Tie a figure of eight knot with a stopper knot
• Put on a climbing harness.
• Use a ballast bag correctly.
• Use the auto-belays.

The course costs £50 for 2 x 1 hour sessions, all equipment is provided. 

ALSO INCLUDED IS A YEARS ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP & REMEMBER CUSTOMERS DON’T PAY IF THEY ARE JUST BELAYING!

Please note:

*You will need to bring a person along to facilitate this course (F.O.C).

*The person taking the course must be 18yrs+

*We ask that you please inform us if you have any additional needs so we can make sure you have the appropriate support.

*Please note instructors must be satisfied that you are competent to belay at the end of the course.
